The Greatmark Story

Greatmark Investment Partners is a fee-based, SEC registered investment advisor based in Columbus, Georgia.  Greatmark traces our roots back to the early 80’s when our predecessor firm, Adams Investment Management, Inc. was formed.  Jeff Adams joined the business in 1987 working with his father.  Richard Illges started in the industry in 1994 with Robinson Humphrey/Smith Barney also working with his father.  In 2007, they merged their practices and created Greatmark Investment Partners.

 

We have forged our investment philosophy working through bull markets, bear markets, 9/11, recessions, financial crises, seasons of pessimism and seasons of great optimism.  Our process has withstood the test of time as we’ve helped our investing partners navigate the markets to achieve their goals.  You can read more about our investing process on the “How We Invest” tab.

 

Greatmark doesn’t sell products like annuities or insurance.  We don’t earn commissions.  As fiduciaries, we put your interests ahead of ours.  Our fee structure aligns our mutual interests – the better you do, the better we’ll eventually do.
